Experience:

September 2001 - Present: Various articles published on the O'Reilly Network, including features on DHTML, Apache, and other web technologies.

December 2001: Co-authored "Designing with JavaScript,"published by O'Reilly & Associates.

July 2001: Wrote two chapters of "Web Design in a Nutshell, 2nd Edition" by Jennifer Neiderst (O'Reilly & Associates, 2001) on JavaScript and Dynamic HTML.

September 2000 - September 2001: Web & Information Designer, O'Reilly & Associates, Inc. Responsibilities included the design and information architecture of Safari Tech Books Online, a joint venture between O'Reilly and Pearson Education, using CSS, HTML, and XML; the design of the company intranet, using CVS, CSS, and HTML; and numerous other design, research and marketing projects using Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, JavaScript, Perl and CGI.

Spring 1998: Student Manager, Student Consulting Program. Responsibilities included computer cluster maintenance, troubleshooting, networking, and managing a team of approx. 20 tech support personnel.

1997 - 1998: Computer Consultant, Student Consulting Program, Center for Information Technology, Brown University - technical support in PC, Macintosh and mainframe platforms and networking for students, faculty and staff.

Education:

Spring 2000: Honors Thesis - Hypercubes: A Biography - which premiered April 20th. Hypercubes is a multimedia gallery installation using Macromedia Flash, Adobe Premiere, VHS and sound visualization software, based on an original hypertext novella released on the Internet.

Spring 1999: Undergraduate Teaching Research Assistantship (UTRA) grant awarded for teaching assistantship in Advanced Electronic Composition (EL111) with Robert Coover, T.B. Stowell Professor of English .

Summer 1998: Undergraduate Teaching Research Assistantship (UTRA) grant awarded for interactive installation involving motion and proximity sensors based on MAX and iCube, video editing in Media100 , Adobe Premiere, and After Effects, and Director Lingo scripting.

1995-2000: Brown University BA major in "Digital Arts and Media" (interdisciplinary independent major in media studies, computer/information science and fine arts).

1992-1995: Phillips Academy, Andover : high school; graduated with honors.
